Ikkokusha LLC ("we" or "us") respects the privacy of users of the iOS app "FA VideoSplitter" (the "App") and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used and protected.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Collected or Processed
The App accesses or processes the following information.
Data processed locally (stays on your device)
- Video files: Videos you select (used only for splitting; never sent off the device)
- Photo library: Access permission to select videos and save the split videos
- Metadata: Technical information such as creation date, file size and duration (only as needed for processing)
- App settings: Language, default split length and similar settings (stored locally on the device)
Analytics data (Google Analytics for Firebase)
- App usage: Number of launches, screen transitions, events, etc.
- Technical information: Device model, OS and app version, etc.
- Installation ID: An ID assigned to each installation of the App (Firebase app instance ID and installation ID; used to aggregate usage and to fetch update-notice settings. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is not used)
- Approximate region: Country and region estimated from your IP address (precise location is not collected)
Crash data (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Crash and exception information: Stack traces, occurrence counts, device information, etc. (technical information that does not identify individuals)
1.2 Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect the following information on any server.
- Personally identifiable information (name, address, phone number, etc.)
- The content of your videos
- Face data: Facial features, face recognition data, biometric data
- Facial analysis information: Face position, expressions, emotion analysis, age estimation, etc.
- Contacts, precise location, microphone audio, etc.
1.3 Our Policy on Face Data
Important: The App does not use any face recognition technology, and we state the following regarding face data.
- Collection of face data: None
- Face recognition and analysis: Not implemented
- Processing of face data: Not performed, locally or remotely
- Storage of face data: Not stored, on or off the device
- Sharing of face data: Never shared with third parties
- Technologies: No face recognition SDKs such as Vision Framework, Core ML or ML Kit are used
Videos are only split by time. The App does not analyze video content or perform face detection or recognition.
2. How We Use Information
Collected information is used only for the following purposes.
Local processing
- Video splitting: Splitting the selected video into segments of the chosen length (purely time-based)
- File management: Saving and organizing the split videos
- Providing app features: Displaying and operating the user interface
Analytics and improvement
- Quality: Finding and fixing bugs, optimizing performance
- Feature improvement: Improving the user experience, planning and developing new features
- Troubleshooting: Analyzing crashes, identifying and fixing errors
- Usage trends: Analyzing feature usage (as statistics)
3. Data Storage and Processing
3.1 Locally Processed Data
- Video processing: Done entirely on the device; nothing is sent to external servers.
- Storage: Split videos are saved to the device's photo library. App settings and split history are stored in the App (on the device).
3.2 Analytics and Crash Data
- Recipient: Google Firebase (provided by Google LLC)
- Transport security: Encrypted with SSL/TLS
- Anonymization and aggregation: Used in aggregate, in a form that does not identify individuals
- Retention (approximate):
- Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4): 2 months by default for standard properties, extendable up to 14 months.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Crash data is kept for about 90 days.
3.3 Where and How Long Data Is Stored
- Split videos: The device's photo library (until you delete them)
- Split history: A local file in the App (information identifying already-split videos; until the App is deleted)
- Temporary files: Deleted automatically after processing
- Analytics data: Firebase Analytics servers (Google data centers)
4. Sharing with Third Parties

- Data provided: Usage statistics, crash information
- Purpose: Improving app quality and stability

We do not provide collected information to any third party other than the above, except in the following cases.
- When disclosure is required by law
- When necessary to protect a person's life, body or property
- With the user's explicit consent
5. Security
5.1 Technical Safeguards
- Encrypted communication: Secure communication over SSL/TLS
- Anonymization: Personally identifiable information is excluded
- Access control: Appropriate permission management
- Secure file handling: Video data is handled securely
5.2 What You Can Do
- Use your device's screen lock
- Keep your OS up to date with security updates
- Delete or back up videos you no longer need
6. Your Choices
6.1 Managing Permissions
- Photo library: Access can be changed in the Settings app
- Network: In Airplane Mode, only local features are available
6.2 Analytics and Advertising
- The App shows no ads and does not request permission to track you across apps (App Tracking Transparency).
- The App currently has no in-app setting to turn off analytics.
6.3 Deleting Data
- Local data: Completely removed when you uninstall the App
- Analytics data: Handled according to Firebase Analytics' data deletion policy
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The App does not use web cookies. It does not use mobile identifiers (such as the iOS IDFA) for advertising.
8. International Data Transfers
Data collected by Firebase may be processed on Google's global infrastructure. Google applies appropriate safeguards and handles the data in accordance with applicable laws.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not primarily directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.
10. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may change due to changes in law or new app features. We will announce important changes in the App or in the update notes.

12.1 Technical Implementation
About the video processing technology used in the App
- AVFoundation: Apple's standard video processing framework
- Processing method: Purely time-based splitting
- AI and machine learning: Not used
- Image analysis: Video content is not analyzed
12.2 Why Permissions Are Used
- Photo library access: To select and save videos
- Network access: To send analytics and crash data and to fetch update notice settings (video content is never sent)
12.3 Future Features
We have no plans to add features that collect, process or analyze face data. If we ever add face recognition features, we will update this Privacy Policy beforehand and implement them only with the user's explicit consent.
